Inspiration and Worship From The Heart
Imagine yourself living on the Emerald Isle in the years when druid priests forced families to give up their young virgin daughters as human sacrifices to their demon gods.
What would you do in that terrifying moment when the druids came to your home with the dreaded burning candles of their jack-o- lanterns; made from the human fat of prior year’s maiden sacrifice- thus signaling that you must send out your precious daughter? If you refuse they will burn you, your house and all your family to the ground.
That was the way things were in Ireland in the 5th century A.D. in the days before Saint Patrick.
It is awesome to see what God can do with one person who is willing to do the things that He directs them to do. By obeying God’s call he was used by Him to totally revolutionize the spiritual landscape of all Ireland, giving them spiritual freedom and the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I was amazed by his story when several years back I heard it on a radio broadcast from the late Dr D. James Kennedy, founder of Coral Ridge Ministries. I was so taken by it that I kept mulling it over in my mind for years after hearing it. It was just in early February of 2012 that I wrote this song “The Story of the Real St. Patrick” which was based upon it.
He was just a teenage boy when he was abducted from off the coast of England and taken by pirates to Ireland where he lived in deplorable conditions as a slave tending the swine of his druid chieftain master.
Years later he managed to escape, return to his family in his homeland of England where he lived for several years.
But then something happened to cause him to return to the terrifying land of his servitude and change the course of history.
Patrick was not at all what most all of us have been lead to believe. In fact, he was not Irish, not Catholic and didn’t drive snakes from the island. His labor for the Lord did in fact work to drive the power of Satan, who the Bible in Revelations 12:9 refers to as “that old serpent” out of Ireland.
So this March 17th we don’t need to just sit by as the world treats Saint Patrick’s Day as just a day to wear green, look for four leaf clovers and talk about shamrocks, good luck, leprechauns and pot’s of gold at the end of magic rainbows as they make their plans to celebrate by drinking lots of alcoholic beverages at the bars.
We as Christians can celebrate in a whole new way as we reflect on his awe-inspiring story. Better yet we can celebrate what Jesus Christ is able and willing to do with our lives as we trust him by obeying his call for our own lives.
I invite you to listen to the song that tells the story of his awesome life. You can download it for free, share it on Facebook, play it at church or share it in any way that will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. We will also be posting lyrics, cord charts and background music to help share this God glorifying story.

Messenger of Light
Messenger of Light
Messenger of Light is a prophetic christmas album that was written for the play "Mazzaroth, Messengerof Light," this Bible-based Christmas album explores fulfilled prophecies of the birth of Jesus Christ while considering the historical meaning of the Star of Bethlehem. It is an explosion of music style where the east meets the easy-listening sounds of the 70's to bring us this fun, yet serious, music.
What a Gift at Christmas
All Things Work Together For Good (Romans 8:28)
Christmas is the Story of His Love
Why is the Lamb in the Manger
Seek Not the Star
Let Heaven and Nature Sing
